Default Bootlid springs - reduce springiness?

Having removed the stock STi ironing board, and fitted a Spec C carbon fibre wing, the boot lid springs are too strong. I've just removed the Spec C wing as well, to try out the wing-less look and, of course, it's even worse!

I tried removing one of the 2 springs but it was then not springy enough.

I can't see any way to adjust the spring tension, so is it a case of having to use different springs?

Swap them for springs off a UK WRX?

(failing that a Sport, or even a GX )

best bet is to get the springs off a wrx, many a wrx owner with sti spoiler would swap with you as they have the oposite problem.

Yes - will do, unless someone knows of a sneaky trick to reduce the springiness of the STi ones
