wrx cutting out sometimes?????
iv a 93 wrx track car and sometimes on full throttle it cuts out just like its overboosting and hitting fuel cut, however, the car has a polar chip and pump and reg etc and i had it on the rollers 2 weeks ago and it holds 1 bar steady and there was no cut out when on the rollers and we did a few runs in different gears,it was fuelling corrcetly,no det,and holding 1 bar,but when you are on the road you sometimes get this momentary cut when around 5 to 5.5 k,iv noticed that the solinoid for the boost is ticking when the car is idling and the ticking speeds up when you rev it maybe its a fault with it and shes spiking the boost, but on the rollers the boost was steady,
anybody ever come across this before or have a cure
thanks

sounds like fuel cut to me being brought on by the colder denser air, you could try backing the actuator off half a turn to see if that helps,
p.s what power did it make on the rollers?

thanks for that it does seem to be when its colder,do you think this down to the chip, the funny thing is on the rollers it peaks at 1.1and does not cut and then holds 1 bar all the way to the end,
as for power its got the chip a pump and reg, equal length manifold,3"downpipe and a fmic, but the rest is standard ,it was run on a set of dyna dynamics rollers which are very accurate usually giving less power readings than other rollers, still it made what i think is a healthy 296.3bhp and 285 lb ft,with no det
does that sound about right
iv now changed the diff to 4.4 and its a punchy wee thing
