decat questions, up-pipe / downpipe etc etc

Question decat questions, up-pipe / downpipe etc etc

Im after some input befroe I start shopping!
Im am driving a uk 2001 WRX, and has full decat turbo back!

In an ideal world should i;

a) Leave as is with full decat turbo back
b) Full decat turbo back with decat uppipe
c) decat uppipe with ppp/prodrive sports cat

im thinking most people are going to say c due to its easyer for the MOT! but lets assume the MOT is not going to be an issue!

has your car been remapped for the turbo back decat? if you replace the up pipe then you will need to have it mapped again.. ideally it should be mapped when decatting anyway.

if it already has the turbo back decat then ide not bother with the sports cat, if you say the MOT isnt an issue..

decatting the up pipe will allow more boost via remapping though

mapping isnt a problem, I use to do mapping when I worked for a Mr2/honda garage! plus I have a friend with a rolling road which is handy

Just sorting out my shopping list at mo which includes new turbo injectors etc etc

So looking like go the whole hog and go full decat! is it worth getting new Headers with up-pipe built in?

Go for (b) to maximise power/torque/drivability, after the remap.

For the MOT, either find a 'friendly' garage... Or take it to specialist where they'll temp. fit a catted section to get it through. ZEN offer this service...
