Default poor starting

hi al, a few days ago the car started to play up from cold start, it would fire then die a few seconds later...... so fitted new plugs & fuel filter ..... still no joy its 94 wrx, decated..plugs ngk 6's......

join the club mate, a few of us with classic wrxs are having the same problem.

lots of other similar threads too.
ive tried coolant temp sensor and cleaning the idle valve, and new plugs non of which have worked. did you gap the new plugs?

yeah gapped the plugs,how do u check the coil pack? where abouts is the coolant sensor

CTS is screwed into bulkhead side of the coolant crossover pipe, down on top of the engine block. It's sort of sited between the turbo and IC but low down. It's the largest of the two sensors in that location. (The other, similar looking, but smaller one right next to it, is the sender for the binnacle's temp. gauge, I think.):-
