Default 2.0lt built cdb to fit 2.5lt sti heads

hi everyone, i have an 06 hawkeye sti with ppp producing 316bhp. i have recently bought a cdb and i want to build and replace it with my 2.5 block and use the current heads and ecu. will it work? what kind of difficulties are lying ahead?

Have to agree mate,

your 2.5 can handle 500bhp with the right internals fitted plus supporting mods.

Obviously if you are wanting 600bhp there will be alot of work involved. Daz is doing a big build with a CDB so have a look on his project.

If your wanting 500bhp have a look at my link which has all the bits I need for a 500bhp capable long block.

Actually I'm going for 600 bhp with a strengthened EJ257

Stock liners!!

bloody hell, I didn't know you could do that, nice one!

I take it you had to have the 14mm head stud conversion too?

the main reason i am going for the cdb is for tax purpuses, the laws have changed here in greece and i will have to pay crazy amounts of income tax if i am to keep the 2.5lt . however if i go 2lt and do a stroker kit upto say 2.2 , on paper it is still a 2000cc. and i do have plans for a 550bhp build.

Yep 14 mm stud conversion, Cosworth pistons, Cosworth Rods and some block strenghtening but the liners are remaining untouched!!
