i would guess you are hitting fuel cut as 1.2bar is way above normal boost/fuel cut on a 93wrx.
Can you lower the boost the 1bar?

standard 93wrx boost is 0.87 bar fuel cut is about 1.05bar unless you buy a fuel cut defender then no matter what the boost controller is set to you will hit the standard fuel cut.
If you want more boost a remap is really the only way to go imo

Drop it to 0.8-0.9 bar, should be fine at that. Hitting fuel/boost cut is doing your engine no good at all
