Default turbo-ing a sport!!

im sure this question has been posted a million times over on this website but....
was chating rubish about motors as per usaully to mates the other day and was told thats you can straight swap a turbo engine in to the trusty 2.0lt sport with no changing of any wiring loom at the very least!!

come on lads back me up here surly subaru didnt use the same gearbox in the sport as the turbo and leave anough wires left over just incase!

Not as simple as it sounds but anything can be done if you have enough money.

Its been done to death but basically its not worth doing as the costs outweigh the effort.
You have to change pretty much everything on the car, gearbox, engine, rear diff, brakes, clutch, loom etc etc etc, it works out cheaper to buy a decent turbo for about 3k

i thought as much to be fair but it was a nice thought that i could kill about 4 birds with one stone!! turbo-ing the sport as i was thinking of putting a sport engine in the back of my classic beetle

1997 SUBARU IMPREZA TURBO 2000 AWD BLUE on eBay (end time 16-Oct-09 15:56:39 BST)

have been very tempted by this but like the bloke in the link you sent me. i cant part with my own sport it (in my eyes) is faultless
