what year is my car?

im told my car is a 97 the paper work backs this up but i'm all so told all the 97 models have a electronic speedo and mine is mechanical.

does this mean my car is not a 97 model and in fact a 96

what does it say on the log book? the face lift versions have digital speedo's ( 98-01 )

im still waiting for it to come back from dvla but im sure it had 97 on it when i looked at it

97 model has a mechanical speedo 98 has electronic speedo, i have both cars parked on my drive mate
