Changing a 94wrx gearbox & clutch hints & tips?
Hi all i'm about to tackle a gearbox & clutch change on my 94wrx has anybody got any hints or tips for me? I'm going to be doing it on my drive not ideal I know & I know the box is going to be sodding heavy, I've got access to another car so can take my time with it all, so far removed the intercooler,starter motor & all wiring conections, downpipe, any help advice much appreciated

make sure you pop the clutch arm out matey and mark the shafts before you take them out because you can get them 180 degrees out other than that its not that bad of a job and check flywheel

yes ive read previous posts about people having problems getting the the box out due to the fork still being stuck in the realise bearing will make sure this is clear, ive got a spare fly wheel so going to get this skimmed ready, cheers

I did this job two weeks ago the fork aint the bad to get out its the hex bolt thats tight when you take that out there will be a hole i just screwed bolt in then used pry bar to pop it out. BUT MAKE SURE YOU MARK THE SHAFTS

Cheers for that, I did see that thread it has a good guide & also got the impreza mag 9 with the guide so will follow them closely, I do have a few helpers when I get to the box
, I did notice the draper transmission jack has been alot of help for some people maybe worth 90 quid

managed to get quite a few bits done today. heres a tip of my own for anyone struggling to get the pivot pin out- use a bolt off the cambelt cover & put a few washers on it slightly bigger than the pivot pin hole & when you tighten the nut it pulls the pivot out also upon removing the speedo cable it came apart it looks like its been taped together could this cause problems? ,cheers
