Default KS3 - Knock frequency setting?

I'm about to replace my Knocklink with a KS3 unit and was wondering what the actual knock frequency of the STi engine is, so I can set the bandwidth figure on the unit?
Those of you that have the KS3 in use - Are you using the recommended reading of 40 (ish) as the base figure?

Cheers JohnD

6K, and yes 40 -ish.

Only really get a "peep" if it's low on fuel and I boot it !

Or on track with half a tank

I've had a 90-ish reading about 5 times now when I hammer it. Don't know what it is though to be honest.....think it may be IC pipe work banging.....rather than det.

They have a calculator on their site for the setting, it is 6.2k but as you dont have 6.2 its rounded down to 6 and I set it to 40, hit 51 once, mainly high teens and low 20's

Doesn't it depend where you put the sensor though, on how you set it up?

To configure the unit it says to take the engine through its operating range, under load, to get a base figure, adjusting the gain until a reading of around 40 is obtained. Obviously, you need to ensure no det is occuring during this procedure. Ideally, to do this properly, you really need a device that will tell you if det is present! - hold on, that's what I bought the KS3 for!! Looks like the set of det cans I made about 4 years ago (but have never used) need dusting off?

So if you adjusted the gain to read 40 during configuration, at what figure have you set the alert?
