Default which position for the oil temp/pressure

hi ive seen two different positions for an oil temp/pressure guage locations. which one is best??

Both of them...!!

As they are two different sensors, you will need to use both. The first one is identifying the stock oil pressure sensor that you replace with the aftermarket one (you can use an adapter block to retain the stock one). The second location is a blanking boss on top of No. 3 Cylinder which is a good location for the Oil Temp sensor, as this cylinder tends to run the hottest.

i have the smae braided hose that is in the first picture. will this hose fit in the second location or just the first??
