Asking the question on behalf of a friend. he has a 2002 bugeye WRX. Running more or less standard albeit with an exhaust and filter. Just recently, its developed a strange whooshing noise coming from the passanger side footwell/glove box. It only does it when the turbo is spooling up, but then goes once on boost. Never done it before, only just started. It sounds as tho air is escaping briefly, but then dissapears.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as he doesnt fancy taking to subaru to have his pants pulled down as so to speak
