A lot. Efficiency of a cooler is probably the most important factor. Flow rates of the air through the core inside and over it, and the design of the core itself lead to how efficient it is and lag etc.

Cheap coolers are cheap for a reason. But then again you only need a cooler that does what you need, anymore is overkill and wasted.

if its not cooling the air as well as the standard unit it will lose power, due to the core size being incorrect ( not flowing enough air or two little) or not having enough cooling fins.

with a radiator you would want more fins but the same diameter internal core size that flows the water for the best performance.

i hope that makes some sense for you lol

Not on full boost till 5000rpm isn't your intercooler, I would guess its the mapping, assuming there is nothing else wrong with the pressure system.

Which FM, no idea sorry, I use a top mount

I'm no expert but I would have thought you should be getting full boost earlier than that, unless there is something amiss somewhere, or you are using a turbo from a race truck or something.

Mine is on full boost at just under 4k Where are others on here getting full boost?
