Default Water injection, no pressure!

Hey all,

I've been working on a problem I have with my Aquamist MF2 kit, she was working fine until the rear tank got a little low (I thought there was decent amount in it but no - didn't run dry though). Since then, pump works and vibrates but fault light keeps coming on. I've checked feed pipe and that flows okay, filter is next to the pump and is clean, I've even put a foot pump on the rear tank to add pressure to water feed and it pees out of the filter location. Still cant get pump to do owt but vibrate though, very strange. I've taken off the pipe the other side of pump (between pump and manifold) with nothing coming out of the pump.

Out of warranty to... and cant find support email address for aquamist...

Could be the seals, especially if you can hear the pump working. Do you use any additive?

I would definately try and get hold of someone at aquamist, maybe via one of their suppliers?

I wouldn't say the pump is loud, its inside the car (I didn;t want it fitted in the hot engine bay) - once it pumps water its almost quiet normally. I've had it when first purchased that it took a few times for the pump to get hold of enough water to pump properly but at mo I'm getting nothing and water is in the pipe right next to inlet. Very odd, I'll see if I can get hold of supplier I bought it off of - cant remember who that is though lol.

............I'm terrified of my methanol / aquamist giving up the ghost !! 12 litre tank in the boot and lots of complicated pipes and wiring all over the shop.

If anything Goes wrong It's back to Olly and Matt Clark at RCMS !!

I''d have a chat with whoever fitted it

Hey Midlife, that would be me then m8y...fitted myselg, including the wiring all over the shop (mine's same, looks bit of a mess even with cable tidy etc). I've been advised to inject water into the pump direct, then re-connect the feed hose and test again...just got to buy a plastic jobby so I can squirt stuff through the small pipe.
