rad overflow bottle

Default rad overflow bottle

hi ive just fitted my front mount intercooler an due to the pipework had to remove the overflow bottle next to the rad,can the pipe just be left hanging or do i need to relocate it somewhere else?

I got a reduced size replacement expansion tank with my hyperflow monster front mount. If you don't have the expansion tank then when the coolant gets hot it will just come out of the pipe into the engine bay/road. The other thing is that you could get air drawn in when the coolant contracts over night.

It works both ways ..

Holds excess under expansion & Sucks back in under cooling Etc..

You could make yourself a nice shiny one from a suitable recepticle
