Default Mot pass, no cat!!

Well i'll be ****ed!!! Just passed MOT with no cat in sight. Yip, no word of a lie she passed, and well according to the tester.

She is a MY96 but registered in 95 and when i took her for the test i was sure she would not pass. The tester said due to it been an import and the fact they do not have my model on the system it needs to be tested on base settings.

Wicked!!!!!

Early cars will pass with no cats - mine has for the last 7 years.

My WRX has even passed with no lambda sensor fitted!

Its great living in Northern Ireland,
The MOT centres wont spend the money for the cat testing equipment(apparently the MK 1 eyeball is not good enough) so all cars pass without cats!

Has anybody ever seen an Irishman and an Australian in the same room?
I have a sneaky feeling they are one and the same..
