Bugeye WRX lumpy steering
Has anyone any idea why my steering feels lumpy as if the pump is working then not but really quickly when I It only happens when the car is cold and for the following few minutes
I haven't got any leaks I can see and the fluid is all ok, so come on you lot help a newbie out coz it feels like ive got ABS on my steering rack everytime I pull off my drive.

Welcome
Does sound like air in the system, or maybe wrong grade of fluid as it seems to work when its warmed up a bit. Might be worth draining it and re-filling with new stuff

I've replaced the belt and got the correct tension on it and checked it since and its still ok but still getting the same problem.
I have noticed though that there is a black rubber type dust around the aux belts, is this due to normal wear and tear ??

I rang Xtreme motorsport in dudley today and spoke to Simon and he said it could be due to a rack problem if the car had been curbed and it might have bent a coupling/arm ????
