in need of some help please just found out that the ecu in my 97 wrx is fulty so needs replaceing its 1s 3 plug ecu , can i put a sti ecu in with no problems from the same year

thanks for your help i have changed my 97 wrx engine for an sti engine just swaped heds turbo over ext ecu has now failed the one thats in it says 1s 3 plug so i carnt put an sti ecu in it then if you can advise me wot to do id appreaciate it

i sent him a pm hopefully il no wot i need to buy

 

just replied.. will depend on exactly how much of the sti engine and bits you have used.. but sounds like the car needs an after market ecu on it and set up properly if you have changed that much.. unusual though for the ecu to fail.

sorry it was a hole sti unit altanater manafold turbo sensors was put on new unit. fella said at impossible performance to get the same ecu as whats in the car now as all i had got was just a stronger engine as for remap iv not got £800 at the mo due to starting new job and dont get payed for a month so need cheapest optiion till then thanks again for taking time to help me.
