Is a remap really needed?
I just bought my first Impreza last week, a version 4 sti import. I'm a noob with regards scooby's or any jap cars.
She's completely standard so I'm wondering is a remap essential or at least be put off for 6 months or as I'm running her on Maxol's E5 which is rated at 99ron and would much rather spend the cash on needed brake and suspension upgrades?
Any advice much appreciated!

Is there not an issue with E5 not holding its ron value for long? i.e if its not a fresh batch its not going to be 99ron?
Live just outside Belfast so not 100% on the E5.
I'd use some booster along with the E5 and take a trip to see Dave @ STi Tunning to get a remap organised.

most petrol is E5 now anyway so I wouldn't worry about it mate, currently all Tesco petrol is E5 as it is supplied by Greenergy who are the market leaders in biofuels.

Cheers for the input lads.
Ye Dave @ STi Tuning has a remap day on the 13th Sep I think, but it would hurt me to spend around 1200 euros if its not really needed. Maybe I'm just tryin to convince myself its not needed.
