Default stupid a**e me with uppipe

hi guys im stupid as they come. well i was fitting an uppipe other month an were a sender bolts into it well i didnt have a sender to screw in to it as i have facelift an must be newage cars that have the sender. anyway i put a nut an bolt through it an tightened really tight. only to think now the nut may come off in future an well u know the rest. severe damage an bye bye car. the cars has done a few thou mile since done and i check it everyday but u think its best to take uppipe back off an remove. also can the nut heat up that much an shatter as got to be very high temp in that manifold. i done this as i fitted a bigger turbo at same time so can the uppipe come off without removing turbo. any help please as i dont wanna break car. i couldnt find a bolt big enough at the time to screw into the pipe

Do you mean the nut is on the inside of the up-pipe ?

Ideally, you should have put the bolt in and got someone to weld it !

Defo take it off and remove the nut (if it's on the inside) and weld the bolt in as dunx says. If that nut comes off, then goodbye turbo at the very least - with catastrophic results!...

take the nut out of the inside of the pipe. Put it on the bolt then screw the bolt in 5 or 6 threads and then lock the nut up tight on the pipe this will lock the bolt up tight but if it does come loose it will just fall out onto the road and not the inside of your engine

I'd take the downpipe off to access the up-pipe nuts then remove it from below. Sod taking the turbo off!
Get the sensor port welded up mate,.

yep thats the way i was gonna do it. i already had the downpipe off so shud be easier undoing the nuts. theres actally 2 sender holes. 1 on uppipe an 1 on headers itself. cant wait to get them soughted then be stress free over me car. so hoping the uppipe flies out soon

Is it a stainless up-pipe with a flexy joint?
