Default 1 bar boost at 2800 rpm

I have a 96 RA, with apexi fc ecu currently I get 1 bar full boost at 4000 rpm
I want To get a full 1bar at 2800 is it just a question of getting a good remap? or are any other mods required?
Turbo is tdo5 16g

thanks

I'd say that a welll mapped TD05H 16g would be producing at leat 1bar (if not all the target boost!) by c.3,500rpm.

Get the supporting mods that you want/need - but defo get harvey's ported headers/matched up-pipe too - then get mapped.

You should end-up with one quick-spooling set-up, as the headers/up-pipe combo should allow spool at c.200-400rpm earlier, than if you didn't have them! IIRC...

Thanks,

So if a good mapped tdo5 16g should give full boost at 3500 what mods are needed to get full boost at 2800?

I doubt you'll be able to get it that low (unless you spend loads...).

I think the best you can reasonably hope for is c.3100-3500rpm, by using harvey's ported/matched headers and up-pipe...

What would need to be added to my current set up?

This my spec at the mo:

TD05 16g 90 degree

Full Hayward and Scott exhaust including sport cat

Equal Length Headers

Apexi Power FC

Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump

Pipercross induction kit.

380cc injectors (maxing out)

I am thinking of getting 550cc + FMIC soon as well

Defo get FMIC - preferably a Hybrid GT Spec2, available from harvey.

I'd get either 650cc or, preferably, 740cc injectors - that way you can be guaranteed to go way beyond 350bhp later on if you decide to change your turbo.

Swap your equal length headers for harvey's OEM un-equal ported ones and matching ported small dia. up-pipe - this will give you that earlier spool... AND get back that all-important Scooby burble we all know and love.

Should get 340-350bhp - your sportscat may strangle a few bhp though - and similar numerical lb ft of torque with these mods, once mapped on V-Power.

(All the above will be my next stage of tune too!) ;-)
