as title, i have just bought a 2001 bug eye wrx, i used to own a classic a few years ago so just getting back into subaru's, its had 2 owners and has done 65000 miles, fssh, anything i should be checking, i havnt had a good look at it yet but noticed the biting point is really high, is this normal, its not slipping but my girlfriend cant get away with it, will a new clutch help, do you have and ideas on servicing costs, cheers james

My bug has a high bite as well, its been the same since I bought it two years ago. Wait at least until the thing starts to slip to get a new one. You will get clutch judder when cold though, bloody annoying but 'they all do that'. Makes you look like a right amateur when pulling away!
