know what you mean mate as i was a nissan 200 man....
best place to start is get the car on a good rolling road to see what it has got now.
as you might be suprised how much you have..
but at least you know how much more bhp you need to achive the 300 mark
as all scoobs dar diff.....
but would say sti t/mount,full de-cat,air filter and a good re-map.
and you should'nt be to far off

No need for sti top mount, a good turbo back catless exhaust, either uprated air filter or induction kit, uprated fuel pump, ngk 7's and a remap will see you knocking on the door of 300bhp.

does the td05 just bolt directly in place? what can they go up to power wise and what will the standard block take before that has to be strenghthened? also what does this 16g or 20g etc stand for on this type of turbo and whats best to get? thanks

it does bolt straight on but will have to have coverted to front entry as the td05 has a 90 degree bend on the front of the compresser housing, i had mine convertered at my local engineerers for £20!the 16g part is the size of the turbo(compresser i think) the 16 being the smallest as fastest spolling.i heard of people running 350 on a 16g,i would say that 350/350 is the very max for a standard wrx engine and box.thats why il be aiming for 330/330ish......hope this helps!

Stick to less than 350 bhp and engine and gearbox should be ok. Then again it depends on how you drive ..

VF34, VF35 or VF43 are a good upgrade on wrx to get to 330 ish (would need injectors too)
