Default affects of different diameter hoses

Hello

This relates to the hose from the top of the 3 port boost solenoid to the turbo.

The car (MY2000 UK Turbo) has an Ecutek 3 remap and it has recently had a tweak when the 3 port boost solenoid replaced the stock 2 port.

I was given a piece of hose with the correct size restrictor pill in it. Now this hose is deteriorating and it is proving very difficult to find the exact same diameter (3.3 x 6.8) to replace it with. If I get a slightly narrower hose, but place the original restrictor pill in it, will it be ok, or will it result in less boost being made? Or, is the size of the hole in the pill the only factor?

Thanks
Nick

I wouldn't of thought it would make all that much difference (if any)having a slightly narrower pipe as it has to pass through the restrictor pill which will be "heaps" narrower. I'm not a Subaru Engineer but I'd atleast give it a try and see how it handles otherwise start looking at possibly a 2nd hand genuine pipe (eBay/scrappy??)or possibly see if Samco/SFS do something in there range's that will fit the bill. Goodluck
