Which Spark Plugs & Oil on a 97 STI?
#2
Hi, I have the same car and I'm using NGK PRF7B spark plugs (originally came with NGK PRF6B) which are running fine - check the gaps are 0.7mm before you install them; mine were already pre-set to this but its worth checking.
I'm using 15W50 on mine at present, but will probably change to 10W40 (once I run out of the existing stuff). Don't forget replacement oil filter and sump plug washer

Yeah, the only difference is the plug temperature; 7's are better for tuned engines as they cope better with heat but they will be fine on standard engines as well. At present mine's standard (ish) and it runs fine on 7's, so they should suit yours as well I reckon
