Default In desperate need of top rad pipe for my classic stranded in the scottish highlands!!

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me out. I was enjoying the 'Pass of the cattle' road whilst on holiday in Scotland and stopped at the very top which is the highest point of any road in the Uk to take some photos. When I returned to the car there was steam gushing out of the car and coolant all over the ground! What a place for that to happen!!!

I managed to limp back to the nearest garage and found I have a small hole which was going to split big time any moment but it means I can't drive the car and am having real issues given my location in the middle of no where! I have hired a car from the garage and am continuing my holiday but am coming back on Sunday and really need to find a rad hose up here somewhere so I can fit it and get back in time.

I will be in Oban later today. Does anyone have a spare one I can buy? If not then maybe a tuners up here in Scotland that might sell me an aftermarket one? I think I am a bit late to get one posted to me in time now. (

Hope someone can help me!

Justin

I've found a mobile mechanic in Oban from yellow pages. He might be able to source something locally or adapt another pipe to get you home. I'd make sure you get a price up front - good luck

Thanks for that matey. I will give him a ring but think he might say the same as the other two garages I have spoken to who said there is no way to fix it without the right pipe.

This same thing happen on mine last year & samco took 6 weeks to come through. As a temporary measure I bought a flexi coolant hose from Halfords which worked a treat.

On the main street in Oban, there is shop called B&H Autospares.
Bang opposite Subway takeawy at the roundabout.

Also down beside Tesco metro there is a few garages there aswell.

Up at this end of Scotland everything has to be ordered from somewhere.
If your really stuck im just up the road in Fort William 40mins away.

B&H Autospares has also a shop in the Fort, get the boys in the Oban shop to contact them aswell
and if they have it in stock.
