Default recirc valve

hi i have just bought a 98 sti and it has a hks ssq blow of valve which im not keen on iv got the standard plastic L shaped one but not too sure on how it fits iv fitted it the top hose on recirc to intercooler and bottem hose to the pipe which was blanked for the hks,any help would be great cheers

iv changed it to the standard one and when im changing gear its still making the whoosh noise,does anyone know or can help me as to how it should go as im struggling

Your recirc is a 90deg inlet-to-outlet one (not 180deg like the MY93-96 version) but the principles are just the same...

It will do abit especially if it has an induction kit fitted. If it's really bad then you may have a split pipe or something. Goodluck
