recently bought a mint 95 imp which a friend had converted to a twin turbo legacy motor and then blown the box so i fitted a box and all is well, the only problem is am not getting any boost until 4000 rpm and then boosts up to a bar lovely and to be honest when it does go it GOES, but i thought the ifdea of having two small turbos was reduce lag by having smaller turbos , i have not really looked at this as am busy building my track day car. i do plan to fit an electronic boost controller that i have fotted to my other car but nit got round to it yet, any ideas help would be grateful thanks .

You should be getting boost from a lot lower in the rev range than that, sounds like there is a problem with the first turbo (it operates off one at low speed, then off both at high speed) so you need to look and see if all the complicated boost control plumbing is OK (and its very compicated!) I think.

thanks for the advice i did have an idea it wont going to easy to sort out but i should get to the bottom of it soon enough, thinking about running two boost controllers each one independant,

Is the ecu from the Legacy needed to control this dual turbo set-up ?

no its a normal impreza one not sure what number is it i havent looked

Legacy twin should boost from 2500-4500 on the first then a bit of lag 4500-5000 then 5000 to the red line its all go....
