Question

Ok, after finally replacing both the dodgy washers on the the power steering resevoir and fixed that leak, I have found another. There is a very thin wire going into the front of the power steering pump, behind the pulley area so to speak, no idea what it's for(a sensor for something?) but the leak is coming from there!! It only sprays out fluid when on full lock.
Now, does anyone know if this can be repaired, or do I need a new pump? Also whats this wire for? The other thing is i have a 94wrx
so if I need to get another pump, will a later model, say my99 uk fit my car? Are they the same item. It's not a big job to replace, but don't really want to be shelling out on a new pump, perhaps get one 2nd hand from a scrappers, sound ok??
Any advice would be appreciated
