Default Problem after fitting an FMIC

Drove the car twice after having the FMIC fitted, not on boost and very steady driving.

However, when pulling away the car starts to Kangaroo. I`ve re-checked all clips and everything is fine. Could this be down to the fact that it needs the MAP tweaking or could something else be wrong.

I know I must get the MAP tweaked anyway but the car hasn`t been driven on boost. Oh, I have Simtek so no MAF.

"MAP"? I assume you mean map as in remap, and not Manifold Absolute Pressure i.e. the MAP sensor?

If the formar, then hell yeah, you must get the car mapped IMHO. The FMIC's increased airflow/lower temps/denser air will throw the ECU's lookup tables! it'll be underfuelling!

Yeah, MAP as in Remap. Going to get booked in now. Already have Simtek so hope it wont cost too much to get it tweaked for the FMIC.

Cheers

Yeah, should just be charged for a partial remap c.£175-200 (maybe more for Simtek?)

I have a FMIC, bigger inj. and IK to go on, and the previous PFC map would just need modding: £172.50... +£57.50 (dyno & printout) at ZEN.

Booked in at Powerstation this Friday afternoon. £125 per hour and shouldn`t take no longer than 2 hours.

I had an idling issue after fitting fmic, the revs would drop (when pulling up at lights or whatever) to nearly cutting out before picking up and sitting normally. I was told in no uncertain terms by the installer and the mapper ' Get rid of that pesky hks ssqv!' My mapper sent me down a re-circ forge bov.............. and its been fine since. May not be the case with your car but it worked for mine
