Default advice on mods

Hi guys, after reading various threads on this site im in need of some genuine advice.Im not new to modifying having owned various sensibly tuned cars inc my legacy, but ive only owned my bug-eye for 6 months. At the moment the car has a 2.5 tornado front cat back exhaust, original airbox(i took off my cone and induction pipe after advice)and a bailey i/c mounted dump valve.it has 76k on clock and is regulary looked over.It seems you have to be more careful with imprezas.can someone honestly tell me are these mods ok?y is it unadvisable to fit cone/free flowing filter?do you really need a re-map on imprezas(my legacy been on dyno without one and still running fine).im getting mixed answers from freinds and garages.

MAF's don't seem to like induction kits due to the turbulent air. Some of the Cold Air Intake Kits that fit in the wing seem to be okay, from what I have heard, due to the length of the pipe and possibly the bend smoothing the air flow out. I put a piece in another MAF question on here that explains the problems I had.

Does 280 bhp sound nice ?

Then a few sensible mods and a re-map will give you STI performance....

Enjoy !
