Compression Test
Hi
Just got back from the garage who do my service with the only advisory being a split cv boot drivers side.
Oil, filter ngk pfr6b plugs.
The compression test came back as follows:
Cylinder 1 150 psi
Cylinder 2 148 psi
Cylinder 3 152 psi
Cylinder 4 145 psi
Are these good readings as the car is now 13 years old? (Car is a 1996 wrx import 265 bhp)

Compressions are fairly even between the cylinders but are getting towards the lower end of the spec (142 ~ 171 psi and a minimum of 121 psi) prob due to the age and mileage of the vehicle and fair wear and tear.
The early hydraulic heads do tend to pit the exhaust valves and seats ( resulting in a drop in compression) as the mileage gets on but if the car is running fine - dont worry and enjoy it
