Default upgrade advice for a n00b

i recently picked myself up a standard classic but feel it need's to be a bit quicker .
can anyone advise what mod's are best for around 300-350bhp with a simmilar torque figure

the main thing is though i want the car to remain everyday driveable

what size of turbo , injectors ,will i need to strengthen any internals ?

1.Series code G=Impreza S=Forester B=Legacy etc.
2.Body type F=Wagon C=Sedan
3.Engine type 8=2.0L Turbo
4.Year code A=MY93 B=MY94 C=MY95&96 D=MY97 (facelift) E=MY98 F=MY99 G=MY00
5.Number of doors 2=2 door coupe 4=4 door saloon 5=5 door wagon/hatch
6.Model type 8=WRX 7=RA type E=Sti D=Sti Type R & RA
7.Transmission D=5 Speed Manual AWD P=4 Speed Automatic AWD

Ok so will show you what you have
1=G for Impreza
2=C for sedan
3=8 for 2ltr turbo
4=B for MY94
5=4 for 4 doors
6=8 for wrx
7=D for 5 speed manual

Now really your going to need a mappable ecu for an upgrade in power, 320 is about tops with those injectors you have in so you need to uprate to 440cc ones from your 380cc ones for more power (and this is where you need to map the car or else bang!!)

Your standard power output is 240ps (237bhp) on super unleaded, so you will need to upgrade the exhaust system, new ECU (or piggy back ecu chip, recommend the new ecu though, wont be cheap unless you can get a second hand one), air filter, brakes (as the brakes on my astra CDTI are better than those on the early wrx's, and later 4 pots!)
Do you want to continue? its going to get expensive.....

thank's for the reply

yeah totaly agree the standard brakes are totaly dire
i have already added a 3" snake head down pipe , 3" afterburner de-cat with a fujitsibo backbox so the exhaust should be fine ?
also bought a vf28 turbo (will this be good for the power i'm looking for)

i dont mind the cost aslong as it's safe useable power

The turbo on there should be a TD05 16 which is capable of 330-340bhp, about the same as the VF28 you just bought, so no improvement for the extra power really

not so handy about the turbo is there any benifit from it atall faster spool ? if not i'll just keep it lying about as a handy spare

copy pasted from andy f's site -

Level 2 310-330bhp

Full Decat or Sportscat exhaust from turbo back 2.5 or 3” bore
Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump
Apexi Induction system with resonator delete
ESL custom live mapping of original ECU
NGK PFR 7B uprated spark plugs
High Flow multi spray fuel injectors 550cc (380cc std)
Front mount intercooler
MY 97 –00 map sensor (higher pressure rating)
think this is where i'm looking to be

what injectors do i need top feed / side feed ect...
