Default No Boost?

Hi,

Firstly, please excuse my ignorance!

I've just upgraded my Sport Special to an 02 WRX with the PPP.

Is it me or should there be some kind of 'boost' when the turbo kicks in? I've never driven a Turbo so I'm not sure.

Basically, the WRX accelerates well and feels quick but its not too 'punchy' and doesnt feel like there is much torque.. just appears to have very little boost..

(there is no boost controller)

Im waiting for a friend with WRX experience to take a look but thought Id ask here in the meantime.

Cheers, Scott

Get yourself a boost gauge fitted.
I found in my mates bugeye that it was a lot smoother and quieter when boosting than in my classic.

Do you mean no add-on boost controller ?

Or literally that there is NO boost control on the car ? i.e. turbo plumbed into wastegate actuator.

This is where my ignorance comes into play.

There is no add on boost controller, and the dump valve has been taken out.

Just feels like there is no 'kick' as it were, just a steady acceleration (which is by no means slow)

For a car which should be running at 260bhp it doesnt feel as rapid as what I expected
