got 98 sti ra and suspect the head gasket has gone,im going to get it tested monday to find out for defo,none off the usual symtoms are there;ie..water in oil,visa versa,doesnt overheat,doesnt use any water,none coming from exhaust and so on but when i take header tank cap off and rev the car it bubbles like made,hundreds off little bubbles which froth up but as soon as you let car idle this stops.if it is the gasket could anyone recomend a specific place to take it and roundabout how much it would be as i think the price ive bin quoted is very steep,thanks in advance

sorry m8 forgot to mention,im in chesterfield,nearest place to me is scoobyclinic but they told me £1500,seems very steep to me,dont mind traveling if it saves me money,sure ive read that api do it for 700 plus vat

had sniffer test done today with blue dye and never changed colour,puzzled!

look in my garage and you will see what sort of standard you can expect from them. he built my whole car.
