NOOB here need advice on '06 2.5 wrx that im interested in buying.in a noob so i want to know whats the options with regards to engine mods,turbo upgrades in particular.. whats the SAFE limit with the internals/gaskets etc...is the vf34 the best option and will it just be bolt on including upgrading pipework,downpipes,injectors and a remapping/ecu flash....if i were carrying the work out myself what costs... i would like to get as much power at the wheels while keeping well within the limits so i can knock some mileage out of it and keep as stock looking as possible,ie tmic and the likes

so any input is good,i would like to know the best value/quality of stuff needed,whats the best places to shop,what not to buy etc any links etc thanks

 

Your best bet would be do a search on here, im sure all those questions have been asked before.

 

yeah ,im doing alot of research, but as usual theres alot of different opinions,just nothing like getting a few straight up opinions based on first hand experience and whats the most popular choice with everybody on this site

well ive just fitted a VF35 to mine, walbro 255(scoobyworld), pink injectors, different spark plugs(scoobyworld), unequal headers with built in uppipe(japspeed), downpipe(japspeed) and blitz nur spec r(scoobyworld).
Next im thinking about a FMIC will probs be from japspeed then remap probs JGM.

 

Ashley-W,must be getting quick and sounding good into the deal...you spent over 3k yet???what bhp are you at the moment on the rollers or what are you looking for,i suppose youve not driven it proper yet without the fmic??
