Anyone know of a good, competitively priced subaru specialist where I can get an engine rebuild for my Impreza STI 6 (2000).

I live in hertfordshire, any help is appreciated.

Anyone had one done and received excellent service and quality???

Have heard lots and lots of good things about Zen Performance near Northampton and API in Warwickshire (maybe 1- 1.5 hours from Herts). I just used Zak at Mocom Racing to upgrade my car and was pleased with the result - he's in Essex and about 40 mins away from Watford and was rebuilding an engine in a 2003 STI when I dropped my car off.

Brilliant, thanks guys, im going to ring round a couple of the above mentioned and see what the best deal I can get is whether it be the cheaper option of re-building or paying a little more for a upgraded/better/bigger engine.

Anyone know anything about scooby clinic, my friend mentioned them to me?

I mean replacing it for a bigger/more powerful AND MORE ROBUST engine!

Def Chy at Pennine Subaru (01422 845 007) in my opinion. Far if you are based in the south but def worth the trip up there. One of the very few engine builders/tuners who do most of their engine/block work inhouse as they have the necessary tools/machinery.

i had an engine re-build done buy api and i live 120 miles away from there, but had heard alot of good things about them and dave knows his subarus inside out. i joined the rac for 75 pound for the year and they take your car anywhere in the country....... i just told them the engine was under warrenty with api and they was round the next morning to take the scoob.... they do checks first to make sure your car is completely legal otherwise they wont touch it!!!! i.e M.O.T'D, taxed, insured, and tyre tread etc.
