Hi people,
Can anyone tell me what advantages the above has over the standard STI steel head gaskets?
I have one one waiting to go on and i am contemplating fitting it right now or would i be better off waiting for when i have to have a rebuild?

what year sti do you have mate.

i'm rebuilding mine, not that it needs doing. just want to fit some sti v4 heads
but was told i need 1.6mm gaskets for sti v3/v4

Its a version 3 MY97.
The version 3 and 4 heads are the same are they not?

apart from the cams from what i'm told.
but yes, but i got 1.6mm gaskets not 1.3?

got told that from quite alot of tuners too

as the cams lift higher and the pistons site slightly higher than the cylinders.
so to keep the compresion right. i was told 1.6mm gaskets are best to get

i havent a clue mate.

thus running wrong.
0.3 is not much, you'd have to ask some of the tuners mate
