Hi all.

I am looking for a little advice here. How much boost is adviceable on a TD05-16G on a open deck block from 1999 with 60K km on it? Is 1.4 bar considered "safe". This is ofcourse as a part of a rema, but I am just wondering what boost people are running on these engines with this turbo.

I am running all the supporting mods, ie FMIC, plugs, fuelpump, fuel reg., exhaust....

I have a 16G running at 1.35 - 1.4.. sound as a pound at the minute but not had alot of miles on it. This is on a Newage WRX however..

1.5bar with tubular headers is quite a sweet spot.

Can produce some 340ft/lbs of torque and kill the gearbox though

Bob, with appropriate supporting mods and running 1.5bar - but with only std unported Subaru headers - roughly how much torque would you say the TD05H 16g makes?

Yeah mines 340 / 340.. nice..

I think the best thing you can do for turbo's is decats and porting, reletively cheap for good gains, but im no expert.. just looking at the results of what I have done..
