about £800 as the standard ecu cannot be mapped without either a replacement unit or somthing like an ESL chip

The 97 and 98 ecu needs a replacement ecu.. SimTek is £895+VAT supply, fit and map..

Or you are on a secondhand Apexi PowerFC and remap.. I charge £250+VAT to fit and remap a secondhand Apexi.

Prices on new Apexi PowerFC's have gone stupid due to yen to £££ exchange rates and the production has slowed and stopped on some models.

Benefits - Safe setup for the fuel you use, a check over and checkup of engine bay - often find pipes split, pipes fitted wrongly etc.. more power and torque, smoother, better throttle response, better mpg and different selectable boost levels / maps etc.

depends what mods you have but 300 to 330bhp get the occasional one that makes more.

The main noticable improvement would be the large increase in torque, throttle response and usable power
