Default Smokey Prodrive WRX ??

I have just brought a 03 plate WRX with the prodrive pack fitted. it has 50k on the clock. It was smokey around town when i first tried it from cold. I have just driven it hard home for 80 miles. There was no smoke. i have left it to idle on my drive for 5 mins. No smoke. It has a decat exhaust.
Is the smoke anything to worry about. thanks for any help

Was the car definately smoking from the exhaust? It may have been oil spilt while changing it, which has now burnt off.

Yes, very white smoke. it built up on tickover and cleared when you got moving. It did it a few times while in the traffic.

White would be water vapour in exhaust, hows your coolant level?

It may have just been condensation, especially if the car has been used for short journeys or has been standing for a long time. As suggested, check coolant level.

if it does it when car has warmed up fully i would be slightly concerned but any car will have a little smoke on start up on damp or cold mornings.

likely causes, oil overfill causing blow into intake system, remedy drain off a little oil I had been told halfway between dipstick marks not full significantly reduced buildup of oily residue in intercooler, and subsequent pooling and burnoff on morning startup, or fit a catch tank to eliminate this alltogether. Second very likely cause is turbo seals, I have seen loads that when you take the turbo hose off have oil residue near the turbine. It may even leak direct into the exhaust I'm not sure as I've never had a turbo to bits. If you start up the car and immediately reverse off your drive or wherever with the window down you will smell oil burning easily.
