Why feedback is so important on the 'bay'
Found this, thought peeps might be interested in seeing the feedback left by someone on the 'bay' that bought a VF34 turbo.
A big message here that shows how important feedback is on the much loved 'bay' and items like a VF34 (that Im looking for) is best found off more trustworthy places such as Sc.Net etc...
Look up this sellers items and BEWARE...

I emailed the buyer of the VF34 turbo units the seller is flogging for £700 to ask about the proceedings he is taking, I got an email back and it said this...
Hi. I don't know if he's changed his practices since I bought a
turbo off him, but when I did it was advertised as a genuine IHI
turbo shipping from Bath. It turned out it was actually shipped
from Taiwan, so I incurred £150 in additional tax and duty. That
would have been okay, but a Taiwanese turbo is almost certainly
gonna be counterfeit, meaning it's not going to achieve the
same level of performance as an original, and may be unreliable
and potentially damaging to the car. Because of that I returned
the turbo, expecting a full refund of what I'd paid him. He
offered me £200 less, claiming a 15% handling fee plus his
charges from eBay and PayPal. I tried my best to deal honestly
with him, and give him a chance to get the eBay and PayPal
charges back off those sites through a cancelled sale, but he
didn't play ball. I still haven't had a refund at all, and so my
credit card company is chasing it up. For what it's worth, if you
want a cheap counterfeit turbo, and if you're happy to pay
import duty of around 15%, then I'm sure he's fine! Personally
though, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Hope this helps.
Interesting.

Looking at the T&Cs there's some very basic errors in the language:
These sentences jump out when you know you are looking at a rogue, at best not a native english speaker, at worst based abroad.
The seller claims to be based in Bath and therefore supplying from England so why pay import duty. My maths work out that 15% of £730 is £109.50, add £21 for postage comes to £130.50. I've been on the beer all night and that doesn't come even close to £200 for re-stocking and postage if bought in error.
Obviously this is only one persons word, but circumstantially, because of spelling and grammer like that in th T&Cs, I would avoid a seller like this.
We will try our best effort to minimise any VAT or Import Tax
Custom parts with minimum order accepted, please contact for more enquiries.
The turbo will be guarantee one year within 100,000km
However, if in any case you are not pleased with your purchased good, return accepted in the folling case.

Not necessarily, he's a scammer because he's failed to show he's importing the goods direct. I've dealt with plenty of people overseas and as long as I know I can deal with it and prepare for import duty etc. Sometimes it doesn't happen which is then a bonus!

Ebay feedback is very limited. People tend to leave feedback as soon as they receive the item.
This is okay to the extent of checking someones trustworthiness BUT not for much else (ie how good a product is). Too many people use it to assess the quality of a product and ignore everything their eyes and others tell them.
