Default Momentary loss of power

Hi guys have just purchased a type r 99, Took her out last night for the first time and on dual carraigeway while accelerating, she has a loss of power but its only split second and she jumps back in again. It is quite harsh and certainly makes you jump. Any ideas, I remember reading something about this a while ago but cant for the life of me find it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also the change into 4th is crunchy, I am aware that the 4th gear syncro was repaired in 07, Is it likely that this has gone again?
Thanks in advance .

Sounds like you hit boost cut... were you hard on the accelerator at the time?

Id say kinda hard accelerating but not flooring it. Whats the difference between boost cut and fuel cut ???
Also had near enough full tank of v-power.
I had a look under the bonnet earlier and found a pipe off. It was the one on a T-Piece by the restrictor pill that goes off to the waste gate i think... I have put this back on but am unable to go out till tomorrow so will not know till then.
I am hoping this is the problem will let you know

That would fit with what you were reporting earlier. Wastegate actuator pipe off means the ECU is unable to control boost - other than via the safety fuel cut. Boost cut/fuel cut are the same thing btw. Bit worrying that the previous owner didn't notice something wrong - do the boost control pipes still have their spring clips on at both ends?

There is no clip on the pipe that was off but the other two pipes to the T-Piece have spring clips on yes ! are these what your refering too.?

yes they're the pipes I meant. They should all have spring clips on them - if the one going to the actuator doesn't, that probably explains why it was off in the first place, and almost certainly means it'll come off again if you don't replace it.
