Hi,

Power steering is noisy on full lock and sounds like a canary being strangled.

Could it be that the fluid is a little low? even though it registers between the marks?

Any suggestions?

 

belt slipping maybe?

 

change the fluid, get underneath,undo one of the unions and rain all the fluid out and refill with the CORRECT stuff,i went thru 2 pumps cause i was using the wrong grade of Fluid,thought it was the pumps i was gettin 2nd hand but it turned out i was using the wrong fluid ha ha ha !

 

mines really noisey on FULL lock. my mrs brand new car does it as well. i think its normal.
if you have excessive noise on small turns then try new fluid.

or under the reservoir?

and what is the correct fluid I need to replace it with?
