Default What Octane Booster?

When I go on my travels round sunny Europe, I know I will probably have to fill up with some crap fuel, and my car is mapped on V-Power.

So, to combat this I will put some Octane Booster in.

What do people use? As the stuff on the Roger Clark site seems a bit steep at £14 a bottle!

Is NF the make?

My friend recommended Millers as well actually.

I think I might need to buy about 10 bottles, so don't want something stupidly priced.

myblackwrx, my worry is I can't find any SUL though if I'm running short.

Does anyone know what RON rating in the 10 pack on the ASP page of Millers is?

10x Multipack - CVL TURBO
10 bottle x 500ml each Millers CVL Turbo

Price: £70.13

Yes i perfectly understand that i was not suggesting you don't buy any OB
I perhaps should have added the suggestion to look at various fuel companies in Europe to see what they sell i.e. Germany Shell and Aral both offer 100octane fuel

By all means use OB (I carry a couple of bottles of Millers Octane plus - just in case) but no harm would come if you would be stuck with low octane stuff - just limit the boost and throttle opening you use!
I read that you are getting an AVC-R fitted? Just switch it off or program one of the settings to a low boost target.

To be honest, in my mind, I thought it would be really really bad for the engine (quite modified) if I put low octane fuel in. But suppose if I'm sensible I maybe shouldn't worry.
But yeah, I just got an AVC-R fitted today, and JGM is mapping it tomorrow. I was going to ask him for a high and low boost setting. Maybe 1.1 or something.

Whereabouts in Whitby do you get SUL? As a southerner who loves to come up and stay at the Lion at Blakey it's worth knowing where it's available. I've used the garage in Castleton (seem to do EVO's and Scoobs?) but you never really know what it actually is!
JGM certainly seems to get around!

I didn't know Castleton sold SUL?! Will ask tomorrow about this.

I have to drive to Scarbrough or Guisborough for my V-Power. There use to be a close-ish one on the outskirts of Scarborough (whitby side), but it's closed so have to go to the far side of Scarbrough now
