Default classic parallel fuel rail guide

Has anyone got one, that explains exactly how to do this? with pictures would be great...been debating wether to do it for a while but just cant quite grasp how to go about it!

iv already got a 3 port reg..so would just need a kit from like slowboy racing to crack on with it.

I made mine this way.
Original rails (2x passenger side), which I welded 9/16 JIC fittings on.

Where else would the pressure reg be? The pupose of the reg is to keep a certain pressure up for the injectors. The reg would not work anywhere else.

The standard reg is also after the injectors on the return line. It's just in after market setups like this you reverse the flow.

Wrighty,

Instead of a T peice from the rail returns you'd just have them going to each side of the reg and the return port (bottom of reg) feeds back to the tank as normal.

Here's a picture of my old setup which was done a fair while after I did that diagram.

I'm reverting back the the diagram as I am going to use one of the ports for a fuel pressue gauge,

Is there any benefit in going the 2 dedicated inlet route (to a 3-port FPR - as per photo in post #6)... rather than T'ing it first and then going to only 1 inlet port (as per diagram in post #3)??? (With this latter option, it allows you to run a gauge too! - if using a 3-port FPR).

Talking of which, are there 4-port FPRs available! - so that you can run a gauge PLUS have the 2 inputs - i.e. the best of all worlds?!

Yes Fuellabs do them. Mark at Lateral supplies them.

2 inlet ports( one either side) one outlet port (bottom)
1/8 NPT gauge port on the front.

Oh cool!

I didn't realise about the NPT (what's that an acronym for BTW?) on the front!

Awesome.

EDIT: Er... perhaps I should've looked further down that ad's list!

daz, if I was to buy a 3-port FPR - but only use one inlet (i.e. by NOT! going parallel) - then are there any 'blank' brass screw-in bungs included in the kit, that can plug off the, unused, 2nd port?!

jozzy why would you spend that much on a 3 port and only use 2 ports. just gerra 2 port? and why would you not feed the rails in parallel, its a fairly simple safety mod and irrc your running higher then stock power arnt you...so it makes sense?

ps i only paid £25 for my 2nd hand 3 port fuel labs, shop around before you spend THAT much on one brand new :|

I've been told not to skimp on a FPR by a reputable specialist and that the Fuelab one is the one to go for (performance, accuracy, longevity, quality, etc.) The 3-port is exactly the same price as the 2-port!, so may as well get the 3-port in case I decide on the day to go parallel. Or if not then, maybe parallel at a higher stage of tune later on...

Yeah, I know it's a good safety mod as the infamous cyl.3 (and cyl.4 - or is it 2?) both effectively see the fuel first, rather than poor ol' hot-under-the-collar cyl.3 getting it last as in the OEM "in-series" set-up

I'm actually in talks with someone who's breaking his Impreza and he has the black "mini" version of the 3-port FL, that he wants rid. Just gotta try and get it for a good price...

Blimey, £25 for a Fuelab is amazing - even if it is 2nd hand! (You sure it's not a pattern item? )

I had mine done by someone to parallel, and used just standard fuel lines, and brass T's.
So didn't cost to much, just the cost of fuel lab reg.

Sure, Mrchips - interesting and good point.

It does seem daft NOT to do it, seeing as I'm also swappng my v.1 IM for a v.3/4 one etc. Perfect opp. and all that...

Yes I know wrighty - gotta do it. Then all the fuelling mods can be ticked off the list and put to bed. (...That is until the inevitable bigger turbo and injector change later on! ).
