Just bought a magnex decat pipe for the scoob. And noticed a little plate welded to it saying "not for road use"

is this just because your not meant to take the cat off to keep the green party happy

The centre pipe is meant to have a cat in it so taking it out will make it fail the MOT (on some cars). I just picked oen of these up myself and found that plate. You didnt get yours from a place in telford called "hudson industrial services" or something did you? not related to me btw

I think it'll will fail mot if not on if the car if its meant to have one, whether emissions are in spec or not. Hopefully your friendly with the mot station n they'll turn a blind eye. Highly unlikely ul get pulled by VOSA n checked on the road as well!

yeah should pass no worries with a centre decat, most people on here and i know with evos fly threw an mot with just the centre cat off. Itsthe turno one you have to worry about.

Cant tap it off, its spot welded on. But i asume its just there to say, "yeah your being naughty and im pointing it out"

i get carplanet to MOT it so theyd turn a blind eye i suppose

Not if your posting it on a public forum. A lot of people have full decats and manage with the MOT just be careful no to shout it out
