Default Help with turbosmart bov

i am going to attempt to fit a turbosmart bov to my 03 plate sti, is this an easy job?

When i ordered it i didnt need a fitting kit so im thinking its a straight swap?

Thanks

Undo the two bolts securing the bov to the intercooler, disconnect the small and large hoses, reconnect the hoses to the new bov (if it is the recirc or dual/hybrid type you will have to swap over the lower hose connector from your old bov which again is 2 bolts), and either fit both hoses to the bov (recirc and dual/hybrid type) or just connect the small hose and use the blanking plug on the large hose and your finished.

And later set the strength of the bov by adjusting it as per the instructions depending on whether you want it soft or hard

It is to do with noise. I have mine set fairly hard so i can drive about normally and don't get PSSHH all the time only when i give it some.

On the hard setting it is supposed to start the BOV working sooner meaning you do not have the big whoosh noise to impress the locals, on the soft setting the bov operates later meaning you get all the pressure dumped out in one go giving you the big whoosh with which to annoy pedestrians.
