Default Differential info/help

how do you know, when your car needs an uprated differential? (Limited slip)

also what is there main aim, it put the power to the ground?

guessing an impreza has 2? front & rear? which one would you uprate first?

what would be the crack with one if you were running a ppg gearset there quite expensive, so must be good?

ta!

Hi jon,

mine has a Suretrac front lsd, and (maybe) the same at the rear. Stops one wheel spinning away all the power on tighter corners. When new mine yanked into tight corners like a mad thing, but now it's quite 2nd-hand it's far less lairy.

HTH

P.S. I think a simple plated LSD is best at the rear, maybe a Quaife ATB in the front, I'd also like a fixed 35:65 split centre diff.... but it all costs !
