Just a general interest thread, but which ECU do you use in your impreza and why? Also do you use a separate boost controller?
Having read some posts in general I have some ideas on the subject but by no means know chapter and verse...
I'm Interested particularly in the complete replacement ECU's (eg Motec, Link etc) rather than the piggyback types. What are the options and what are the costs?

Polar,
ignore Craig he is being naughty. F-CON V anyone?
Well it would have to be Pectel, Motec or Link from the personal experiences I have had or shared. With these a separate boost controller is not required.
I thank you.

... Best check if my japanese Nismo ecu is a PRO PRO PRO PRO or not then
Seriously I know quite a bit about the link ECU and have read the motec stuff on powerstation's website, but I would be interested in reading about the other similar ECU's...
Not for the skylark though, just curious

I have heard that GEMS is good! It does most of what the MOTEC does and has very good idle controls.
Townend Garage can arrange...
I myself and changing and am trying to decide which is most suitable for me,,, by the way PE are re-mapping MY99's now including STiV..
To be honest I want rid of the bloody MAF anyway..
